Wu Kongming, male, Han nationality, born in July 1964, from Gushi County, Henan Province, is a member of the Communist Party of China and an expert in agricultural entomology. He is currently a member of the Party Leadership Group of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, president of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and academician of the CAE Member. Engaged in long-term research in the fields of agricultural insect and pest control, ecological safety and risk management technology of genetically modified plants. Received 2 second prizes of National Science and Technology Progress Award and 1 third prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award; Has successively won honors or talent titles such as government special allowance, outstanding contribution of young and middle-aged experts by the Ministry of Agriculture, China Youth Science and Technology Award, national level candidate for the New Century Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand Talents Project, National Excellent Science and Technology Worker, He Liang and He Li Science and Technology Progress Award, China Agricultural Talent Award, and China Agricultural Science and Technology Award Excellent Innovation Team.
