To further deepen China-Africa cooperation in agricultural science and technology innovation, the China-Africa Agricultural Science and Technology Innovation Alliance (CAASTIA) has officially launched the "Scientific Talent Empowerment Programme in Agriculture (STEP-A)" in CAASTIA-GA 2025.

The Programme is dedicated to the systematic cultivation of African agricultural science and technology professionals. As a core component of STEP-A, the International Student Training Track leverages the Alliance platform to provide comprehensive support for outstanding African students, enabling them to pursue academic studies and research careers in China.

What STEP-A Offers

1. One-Stop Information Services 

Through the Alliance’s official website and targeted communication channels, STEP-A provides comprehensive and authoritative information on studying in China, helping applicants accurately identify suitable universities, programmes, and research directions.

2. Alliance Recommendation to Enhance Admission Success 

African member institutions of CAASTIA may recommend outstanding candidates to the Alliance Secretariat (using the official Recommendation Form). Candidates who pass the Alliance’s review and interview process will receive a formal recommendation from CAASTIA, with direct coordination support from the Secretariat to Chinese member institutions, significantly improving admission success rates.

3. Support for Scholarship Applications

The Alliance actively assist selected students in applying for various scholarships and grants, including the Chinese Government Scholarship, local government scholarships, university scholarships, and corporate funding, providing tangible financial opportunities for your studies.
