The 2026 China-Africa Innovation Cooperation and Development Forum will be held in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China, on November 11. On the same day, from 14:30 to 17:30 Beijing Time (06:30–09:30 GMT), a themed event titled "Science and Technology + Livelihoods: Co-building and Sharing" will take place — specifically, the Matchmaking Meeting on Advanced and Applicable Technologies for Poverty Alleviation through Science and Technology.

This meeting will feature the release of three publications: (1) “The Compilation of Chinese Advanced Applicable Technology Achievements for “Belt and Road” Poverty Reduction through Science and Technology (Africa Volume)”; (2) “The Compilation of China-Africa Cooperation Cases on Poverty Alleviation through Science and Technology”; and (3) “Poverty Reduction through Science and Technology in China: Case Studies and International Cooperation (French Edition)”. In addition, seven experts will deliver keynote speeches on China-Africa cooperation in science and technology for poverty alleviation. Furthermore, eleven scientific and technological personnel will present six technological achievements and five poverty-reduction cases in detail.

The meeting organizers have arranged a live online broadcast, enabling scientists, partner institutions, and industry professionals who are unable to attend in person to participate remotely. Should timezone differences make it inconvenient to watch the live stream, a replay will be available for viewing.
