The laboratory's research focuses on livestock and poultry resources, genetic breeding, as well as forage resources and breeding. It primarily conducts collaborative research in the field of livestock and poultry genetic resources in China, East Asia, and Southeast Asia. The laboratory also co-organizes domestic and international training programs, seminars, and academic conferences. Additionally, it provides research equipment and technical support for ILRI's biotechnology projects in Asia, as required.
