The cooperative platform primarily focuses on newly registered water-saving and drought-resistant rice varieties bred by the led unit in countries such as Burundi, Uganda, Burkina Faso, and Nigeria. Enhance the demonstration and promotion of these approved varieties, achieving notable results. The project continues to advance collaborative breeding initiatives, aiming to introduce new varieties that are water-efficient, drought-tolerant, disease-resistant, and suitable for African ecological conditions. Additionally, training on cultivation techniques for widespread application is under arrangement.
