The China-Ugandan Joint Laboratory for Sustainable and High-Efficiency Premium Tea Production aims to assist Uganda in discovering suitable varieties of black tea, developing supporting cultivation techniques, improving black tea processing technology and efficiency, and developing new products through China's advanced technology and experience output in the tea industry, helping it achieve dual improvement in tea yield and quality. And by utilizing Uganda's huge black tea export market and building a cross-border tea industry chain integration platform, it can not only alleviate the structural overcapacity pressure of Chinese tea production capacity, enhance the position of Chinese black tea in the international market, but also help Uganda build a hub for precision processing of East African tea, ultimately forming a new paradigm of cooperation of "technology output resource complementarity market sharing". The ultimate goal is to achieve complementary technology and resources between China and Uganda, promote economic development between the two countries, and ensure the healthy and sustainable development of the global tea industry.
