Supported by the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences (CATAS), the Centre focuses on key areas such as tropical crops, livestock and poultry farming, and circular agriculture. It undertakes four core functions: technology demonstration, personnel training, technology transfer, and poverty reduction demonstration. Its aim is to better leverage China’s strengths in systems, technology, industry, talent, and infrastructure to serve high-level agricultural cooperation between China and Africa.
