The joint laboratory is based on cutting-edge research on soil and water conservation to promote sustainable agricultural development. In response to the strategic goals and major needs of agricultural technology development and food security in China and Nigeria, it conducts research on the effectiveness evaluation of agricultural soil erosion and water conservation measures, aiming to solve scientific problems related to the spatiotemporal changes and driving mechanisms of soil erosion in typical agricultural systems, as well as technical problems related to identifying erosion hotspots and evaluating the effectiveness of sustainable water conservation measures. Through technological exchange and coordinated development, actively carry out technology promotion and training, and build the joint laboratory into a platform and base for China-Nigeria modern agricultural technology exchange, demonstration, and talent training.
