The Center advances Kenya’s rice industry via multi-dimensional collaboration and capacity-building, focusing on agricultural development and food security. It pursues five key goals: building a high-caliber international talent team and robust cooperation network; formulating a market-oriented model for Kenya’s entire rice industry chain; deepening cooperation in rice tech R&D, varietytech demo, improved seed supply, harvestingprocessing, and sales support; establishing a rice sci-tech demo system; and enhancing Kenya’s food security by boosting domestic rice production, improving staple self-sufficiency, and strengthening agricultural resilience. Integrating global expertise with local needs, it drives transformative change in Kenya’s rice sector.
