The "One Country, One Product" Global Action Plan of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is a pioneering initiative aimed at promoting the green development of characteristic agricultural products. It seeks to help developing countries achieve rural economic growth, poverty reduction and food security by sustainably developing agricultural products with unique advantages and export potential. The core objective of this plan is to assist countries in identifying agricultural products with comparative advantages and export potential, and formulating green value chain strategies for them to achieve long-term growth. It is based on the "One Country, One Product" approach, which encourages each country to concentrate its resources and efforts on developing one agricultural product with uniqueness and market potential. This focused effort aims to improve the production efficiency, quality and added value of the product, thereby enhancing its international competitiveness. The plan also emphasizes the adoption of environment-friendly and resource-efficient production methods, and promotes green practices to ensure the sustainability of agricultural development. By integrating these principles into the production process, countries can ensure that their agricultural products not only meet market demand, but also contribute to environmental protection. During the implementation process, FAO will provide participating countries with technical support and capacity-building opportunities, covering value chain analysis, market research, standard-setting and brand marketing. In addition, the organization will promote regional cooperation and facilitate experience sharing and trade links among countries.
