Main Content(Objectives&Activities):
Through China-Africa cooperation, we will dissect the genetic basis of cowpea yield and disease resistance, establish an effective molecular breeding system, and develop new grain cowpea cultivars with high yield and vegetable cowpea cultivars with high pest resistance. Our project will provide the technolgy support to solve the food security problem in developing countries in Africa and improve the human dietary nutrition structure.
