Main Content(Objectives&Activities):
This project aims to identify novel LAB strains as bioactive feed additives for pre-weaning calves using multi-omics approaches, and to characterize their nutritional and bioactive components. The study will investigate the antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-diarrheal effects of LAB metabolites, employing 16S rRNA sequencing, metagenomics, and metabolomics to examine genes and functional pathways associated with intestinal barrier function, nutrient metabolism, microbial homeostasis, and immune function.
